MARINA PUCHE

This mural speaks of the pleasure of food and the amusing relationship we have with it, and of our love for fresh produce, always with humour-based illustrations that tell us about the important place food occupies in our lives. Eating is all about sensations, aromas, laughter, wine, and the explosion of flavours that inevitably brings a smile to our faces... a smile that I hope this mural will provoke in the spectator... and a mural into which I put almost as much devotion as that which I feel when eating something truly delicious.

ANTONYO MAREST

One of my maxims has always been to create artwork for people. I imagined all the great times experienced in a flagship hotel such as the Hotel Benidorm Plaza and this inspired me to create a compositional work on the importance of enjoying oneself and living the moment.

The wall painting integrates the structural elements of the pool, its olive trees and its enjoyable environment. The composition is loaded with a powerful range of shapes and colours. I created for people who associate Benidorm with fun and relaxation an environment that immerses them into a Neo-landscape, integrated into a piece of street art. The mural includes leaves of my beloved palm trees, vases that evoke life and water culture, as well as the dynamic colours one finds in sunsets and in Benidorm by night.

There was an additional piece which immediately called for a complete artistic intervention relating to the environment. I was struck by a unique construction next to the hotel: the electrical tower. I understood that this element was original, it had its own history and had witnessed hundreds of thousands of stories over more than 50 years. The tower was the ideal "icon". Using a beautiful dynamic pattern and elements associated with energy and electricity, I could convey the metaphor of actively enjoying life in a deeply positive way.

I have always regarded Benidorm as an emblematic city that brings together life, fun and Mediterranean culture.

JOSÉ GALLEGO

In our mural painting we find two female characters submerged in the sea in a resting position and at the same time powerful, surrounded by fish in total harmony. Together the women almost venerate a recently dawned sun, creating a mystical atmosphere.

We represent the much cherished sun and beach, and at the same time rest and relaxation, things which are much sought after by so many people when they return to Benidorm and our hotel in particular.

We have used fresh, bright and Mediterranean colors that stand out and at the same time coexist with the space they occupy, the hotel lobby

CARLOS CORREDERA

Mural titled “Cielo, Tierra, Mar” (Sky, Earth, Sea). Three mythological figures: to the left, the great winged bust of “Uranus” God of the Heavens and Sky, looking through a telescope. To the right, “Gaia” Goddess of the Earth, holding the Globe in her womb, whose hair turns into a tree, symbol of Nature. Beneath them, rests the son of both in the sea, the great “Ocean Titan” with his fish tail. Around them planets appear, together with stars and even flying fish, accentuating the cosmic and fantastical tone of the scene. A pair of humans on a smaller scale in the bottom-right corner make the Gods appear even more grandiose

JULIETA XLF

The murmur of the sea comes to life in a mural that fuses the magic of the ocean with Juliet's art and transports us to the ocean depths where marine life flourishes in all its splendour.

Inspired by the rich marine fauna of the Benidorm coast, the sketch comes to life in a symphony of colours and shapes and an underwater scene reveals itself like a window opening onto an enchanted underwater world. A salp dances among jellyfish while a majestic dolphin radiates grace and freedom. Among the undulating seaweed of the posidonia, mysterious creatures hide, inviting us to explore the secrets of the deep.

Transcending reality, a hint of surrealism adds a touch of fantasy to the mural. Fantastic characters emerge from the depths, leading us into a realm of wonders where the impossible comes to life. It is here that an intrepid young girl, shrouded in the mystery of the waters, begins her underwater adventure and discovers the hidden beauties lying beneath the surface.

This mural is more than just a work of art; it is a testament to love and respect for the marine environment. Every brushstroke and every detail reminds us of the importance of conserving and protecting the oceans, home to unparalleled diversity and an inexhaustible source of inspiration. In every glance and in every smile it evokes, the mural invites us to immerse ourselves in a world of wonder and to embrace the miracle that is our beautiful blue planet

IVÁN TORTAJADA

Dusk and sunset in Benidorm

Dusk is a woman’s face. She calmly lures us for a night swim into the crystal waters of the Mediterranean Sea, surrounded by fish, corals and guided by the full moon.

The lighthouse radiance forms the rainbow which fills with colour the afternoon reading of the character lying on a classical column. This is a symbol of the entire culture of the Mediterranean. Around him, butterflies and flamingos illustrate the many animals which use the region’s natural environment during their migrations. The sun sets solemnly over the Alicante horizon.

The mural presents a dual scene based on two well-differentiated chromatic ranges: the warm sunset colours on the one hand, and cold colours of a refreshing evening swim on the other. Both are joined by a shared horizon line which stabilises the composition.
